ELTS, the International English Language Testing System, is designed to assess the language ability of candidates who need to study or work where English is the language of communication.
IELTS is jointly managed by the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations (Cambridge ESOL), British Council and IDP: IELTS Australia. IELTS conforms to the highest international standards of language assessment.
IELTS is recognized by universities and employers in many countries, including Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK and the USA. It is also recognized by professional bodies, immigration authorities and other government agencies.
Where can I take IELTS Training?
More than 800 test centers around the world administer IELTS. Most test centers are run by the British Council, IELTS Australia, or universities and language schools. In Nigeria we have 8 Test Centres; Abuja, Benin City, Calabar, Enugu,Ibadan,Lagos and Port Harcourt. Our IELTS Training Centre is located in Benin City at 78, New Lagos Road, Beside Board of Internal Revenue, Near Former EBS, New Benin, Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. British Council are the sole Co-coordinator of IELTS in Nigeria with some Agencies who acts as liaison to British Council. Ikogwe International Limited are one of the British Council stake holders who partake in training of applicant and giving out practical instruction on how the students can take and pass the test.
